How the channel will be central to Juniper India’s strategy

Comprehensive training programs focused on AI-driven SD-WAN, smarter routing, and AIOps.

Partners will play a crucial role for Juniper Networks as it continues to sharpen its path through GenAI, AIOPs and networking technologies.

Juniper Networks India and SAARC managing director and country manager Sajan Paul pointed out these key areas for its growth strategy.

“We anticipate the continued impact of AI in networking, staying vigilant to domain-specific AI challenges, and actively participating in data ownership conversations,” Paul said.

According to Sajan, Juniper is focusing on collaboration with their esteemed channel partners as part of their strategic vision for the months ahead.

In 2023, the industry witnessed the convergence of AI and networking technologies, hence Juniper’s focus to empower their partners with these innovations. AI-driven SD-WAN, smarter routing, and AIOps are at the forefront of their collaborative initiatives. This is something that will continue to be developed well into 2024, particularly in light of the recent Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) acquisition of Juniper for US$14 billion in January.

The deal is all about AI technology for HPE as it gains Juniper’s cloud-based MIST AI family, which proactively manages wired and wireless networks. Most recently, Juniper integrated the ChatGPT AI-based large language model (LLM) with Mist’s virtual network assistant, Marvis.

“Stepping into 2024, we view our channel partners as vital allies in navigating the evolving networking landscape. Our shared goal is to equip enterprises with cutting-edge solutions, ensuring we lead in the digital race. Together with our talented partners, we are steadfast in our commitment to delivering ‘experience-first networking’ solution that spans seamlessly from client to cloud, providing guaranteed assurance.”

Heralding smarter initiatives

In 2024, Juniper’s commitment to partner success involves comprehensive training programs focused on AI-driven SD-WAN, smarter routing, and AIOps. It recognises the importance of partner enablement and will invest in resources, incentives, and technical support.

The aim is to create a collaborative ecosystem, equipping partners with the latest knowledge and tools to align with industry trends, particularly in AI-driven SD-WAN, smarter routing, and AIOps. They’re introducing targeted incentives and resources to empower their partners, encouraging specialisation in high-demand areas.

“The goal is to create a cohesive ecosystem where communication, training, and collaboration flourish. Juniper envisions a win-win scenario, ensuring their partners are well-equipped to deliver cutting-edge solutions in the rapidly evolving networking landscape,” he said.

Paul said the proliferation of AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) is set to revolutionise company functions, ushering in a new era of productivity.

“The evolving landscape, including potential cost decreases in LLM training and the entry of GAI/LLM into the trough of disillusionment, will be met with adaptability and innovation. Aligned with a forward-looking approach, Juniper is set to concentrate on domain-specific chatbots, ensuring an elevated user experience tailored to the unique needs of industries,” Paul said.
